Are Bad Habits Hurting Your Back? Part 2

When your back hurts, it affects every part of your life. It’s hard to be comfortable whether you’re sleeping, walking, or sitting. Eventually, it can take a toll, and it usually just gets worse. That is why our Evansville chiropractic office is here. We know how to give you lasting relief.

In our last blog, we revealed two habits that will make your back sore, including sleeping on an old mattress and not adjusting your bike correctly. Life has enough difficulties – you might as well make sure you’re not causing yourself back pain! Today, we are going to share more insights.

You wear high heels all the time

This is a common source of back pain, and you’ve probably heard about it before. We’re not saying you can’t wear high heels at all; we simply recommend that you commute in comfortable shoes and add padding to your heels. Studies have shown that wearing lightweight, padded shoes delivers significant back pain relief.

You’re ignoring your pain

If you have back pain, it can be tempting to block it out and keep on with your life. This is actually one of the worst things you can do. You will involuntarily clench up to keep the pain at bay, which just makes the muscles hurt more. Over time, you will end up with far worse pain. Instead, we recommend you come see us!

When you come to us for chiropractic care, you will find we are compassionate, understanding, and knowledgeable. Contact us to make an appointment today!
